What's the role about?

Our Account Director/Senior Account Director will help to drive business relationships and revenue, helping Journey to grow and be successful.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • To lead and drive the Journey business effectively and profitably by:
  • Providing strategic client direction.
  • Developing relationships to business partner level with key people in your designated client organisations, and playing a senior strategic role within their organisation.
  • Expanding client contacts and revenue opportunities within your client’s organisation.
  • Playing an influential role in winning new business.
  • Striving for the long-lasting, sustainable and profitable success of your client business.
  • Ensure competency in all standard client service areas, including:
  • Having proven senior-level account management and administrative skills.
  • Showing a willingness to roll up your sleeves and process work when required.
  • Having business, strategic and financial acumen.
  • Overseeing and guiding direct reports (if applicable); having responsibility for their consistent leadership, direction, motivation, growth and productivity.
  • Being responsible for the overall management of your client relationships.
  • Working with Journey’s Project Managers to ensure the smooth flow and output of your projects.
  • Managing projects and priorities to ensure timeliness of milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensuring that all work related to the implementation of projects meets the brief and exceeds required quality standards.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to your clients with a high degree of confidence.
  • Responsibility for the P&L of your accounts, maintaining awareness of the financial performance of your accounts and ensuring the best possible profitability.
  • Budgeting and forecasting your accounts.
  • Driving long-term business-building.
  • Attending client meetings (in-person and via Zoom / Microsoft Teams / digital conference).

Success in this role means:

Delivering on key client service metrics which may include some or all of the following metrics:

  • Revenue and profit-based KPIs.
  • Client churn rate.
  • Repeat business rate.
  • Estimated vs actual project times.
  • Estimated vs actual project costs.
  • Client satisfaction.
  • Growth rate.

Key relationships for this role are:

  • Internal staff.
  • Clients.
  • External suppliers and stakeholders.
